Former President Donald Trump made a surprising appearance on popular video game streamer Adin Ross’s livestream, where he was presented with a Rolex watch and a custom-wrapped Cybertruck featuring an image from a July 13 assassination attempt on his life.
“Today is going to be the most important stream I’ve ever done,” Ross, 23, announced. “We’re going to get some good ratings. Everyone thought this was going to be fake today, we proved them wrong.”
The 22-minute interview, which took place in the living room of the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, was broadcast on the gaming and livestreaming platform Kick. Trump, allowing Ross into a rarely accessed part of his residence, remarked, “I don’t allow this to be ever done, but you’re the first, just about. We’ll have a little fun today.”
During the livestream, Trump revealed that his 18-year-old son, Barron, is a fan of Ross’s content. Ross expressed his admiration for Trump, saying, “You’re a true hero for this country and I really appreciate you. I’m really thrilled we can do this today.”
Trump discussed the importance of livestreaming as the “new wave” and urged Ross’s younger audience to vote in the upcoming election, emphasizing the need to restore the American dream. “Right now we don’t have the American dream,” Trump stated. “We have a country that’s not respected, a country that’s being laughed at, and a country that just a little while ago, we were having a stock market explosion in a negative way.”
He referred to recent significant drops in the S&P 500 and the Dow, the largest since September 2022, as a sign of the country’s current economic challenges. Trump reassured viewers, “We’re going to make this country so strong and so great. You’ll love your life and you’ll be successful.”
Trump also criticized President Joe Biden, referencing their June debate on CNN and Biden’s subsequent withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. He further commented on Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her as “ultra-left” and “ultra-radical.”
After discussing the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, and various policies, Trump mingled with fans wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and holding red political signs supporting his and VP nominee JD Vance’s campaign.
Toward the end of the livestream, Ross gifted Trump a Rolex, and the two walked out of Mar-a-Lago to see a Cybertruck. “Wow. That’s an Elon,” Trump exclaimed, referencing Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Admiring the wrap covering the car, which depicted him raising his fist during the assassination attempt, Trump said, “I think it’s incredible.”
Trump also accused Google of manipulating the photo by altering the expressions of the Secret Service agents. “They put smiles on their faces,” Trump claimed. “It’s just terrible. It’s a little bit scary.”
The livestream concluded with Ross and Trump performing a “victory dance” to “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People, with Trump affirming his intention to “keep TikTok going.”
